The London born disc jockey is working on a new and fresh television series dubbed Rise Up. The show is still in its early stages as they’ve begun shooting the pilot episode of what is to be a 13 episode series. The Dancehall Ambassador in Nairobi, is deeply involved with the series and has a hand in almost every detail, from scripting to producing.
The Rise Up concept has been in the making for four years and started off as a reality show but developed into a television show about the general life struggles of the youth. It centers around aspiring young artistes trying to break through into the music industry but the main essence of the show is about dealing with life’s challenges.
With a production team which G Money terms as ‘the best production team in the country at the moment’, Rise Up will be like ‘nothing ever seen in Kenyan television’. It will incorporate familiar faces like Nick Ndeda and Chris Adwar.
