Kenya’s aviation revolution has finally begun. Kenya Airways owned airline, Jambo Jet, yesterday flew for the first time to Mombasa and Kisumu. The new airline is promising to change the way Kenyans travel to major towns, with daily flights to Mombasa, Kisumu and Eldoret.
Now You Can Fly is its mantra, and for sure you can fly. One way flight to Mombasa will only cost you Sh2,850, but you will have to book early.
In contrast, bus fare from the capital to the coastal city can climb up to Sh2000. Considering the almost 6 hour travel time difference, most people will definitely fly.
We have photos from Jambojet’ s first flight yesterday.
