PHOTO – Souped up Probox Spotted in Meru

It’s easily the most loved or hated car in Kenya right now. Those who own it love its efficiency while those who hate it think it should be in a landfill somewhere.
A Probox is used for virtually everything; carrying cattle food, taxi, carrying furniture, smuggling illegal immigrants etc. Its most documented use however is as a ‘matatu’. That small car is known to fit more than 14 people, and that’s why the owners love them.
In related news, this Probox owner in Meru loves his so much that he gave it a complete make over. A Vigo bull bar, Turbo breather, blind spot side mirror a mercedes like Toyota logo on the bonnet, and of course some weed emblem on the headlamps.
