JKUAT To Fine Hawkers Ksh 100, 000

jkuatUniversities have become prone to petty thefts which have sometimes ended up in serious injuries or murder. After numerous complaints, Jomo Kenyatta university of Agriculture and Technology has taken drastic measures in a bid to protect their own and guess who will not be allowed anywhere in the University premises.. Hawkers.
The university’s security team has banned all hawkers from the university. In fact, if caught, hawkers will be fined up to Ksh 100, 000. The deputy chief of security Charles Ochieng told The Nairobian that the thieves terrorising the students were the men and women hawking stuff in the university.
Other university’s should also embrace this new rules to enhance security and reduce crimes within our universities.
