Rapper Jaguar and mellow voiced gospel singer Ringtone have revealed that they have been advising the President on Youth matters for some time now. In an interview with Nairobi News, Jaguar said that his most recent meeting with the President was three weeks ago.
“I told him that if something is not done in delivering their promise to the youth , I will be the first to tell him. I also told him we need him to be more involved with the youth in his administration , because the youth still feel left out.” said the Kipepeo hit maker.
It was alleged that Jaguar had supported the President’s campaign team in order to get a job in the Jubilee Government, rumours which he refuted.
“We have never sat down with the President to talk about a job or any other state appointment.” He said.
Gospel singer Ringtone too claimed that the President and his deputy had on many occasions sought his advise about the youth.
“It is true that I am able to access the two leaders and they ask me about what the youth want.”
Although there have been no formal appointment, the former street urchin still remains hopeful for a job in the government.
“As far as I am concerned , I don’t think the appointments have been exhausted yet. it will be hard to pre-empt what has just started.”
