During the crowning of TPF 6 winner on Sunday, previous winner Ruth Matete took to the stage to perform, but her song is not what is making headlines.

The born again church choir leader rocked a dress that dropped jaws around East Africa. A lot of people found it inappropriate.

The unforgiving social media could not stop attacking her, and this made her issue a public apology on Monday.

On her Facebook page, Ruth wrote.

“Having let so many down, I am lost for words to express my sincere apology for my inappropriate dress during the TPF final show. Without making excuses, I must say that I am indeed sorry. The pressure that comes with performance and fame can drive one to make mistakes. I am indeed a work in progress. I pray that you can find it in your hearts to forgive me and not give up on me. I am sincerely sorry for my wrong. I have sought the counsel of my mentors and spiritual cover. I know under their guidance, I will continue to grow and become more like Christ.

Sincerely,Ruth Matete”

She also tweeted.

I am very sorry for my in appropriate dress during the TPF final show. Please find it in your hearts to forgive me and not give up on me.
