Mututho Rejected By Parliament Before He Could Fix The NACADA Website

A parliamentary committee yesterday recommended the rejection of the appointment of John Mututho as chairman of The National Authority for Campaign against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA).

The decision came after the committee examined a report by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption commission. The former Naivasha MP has pending criminal and civil suits. He is charged with obtaining Sh 41.3 million illegally, by presenting false documents that his company had paid tax on bedside lockers to the Kenyatta National Hospital.

His rejection will come as a relief to stakeholders in the alcohol industry and their loyal customers. Since his first day in office, Mututho had showed a lot of enthusiasm in reducing Kenya’s intake of alcohol and other drugs.

However, he did not show similar enthusiasm in fixing NACADA’s website.
Typing nacada.go.ke on your device takes you to a simple page with only two words… It works!

Someone should surely fix this soon.

UPDATE: We understand that for the website to actually work, you have to type in www…. who does that anymore?
Anyway, it’s just a small matter of redirection.
