Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero has spoken about the huge Samsung ring on top of KICC. Responding to a tweet on the issue, Kidero said that KICC is an independent corporation under the Ministry of Tourism.
This was probably just a polite way of saying there’s nothing he can do about it.

Some Kenyans are not ecstatic about the billboard. Some say that KICC is a national heritage site, and should not be commercialized in that way.
However, a good number see nothing wrong with the move, saying that KICC gotta make some cash.
