Bring Zack Back Home Campaign Finally Builds a Hospital

After several months of silence, there’s finally news on ‘Bring Zack Back Home’. Tomorrow (Saturday 17th), The Kenya Paraplegic Organisation will be laying the foundation stone for the Spinal Injury Rehabilitation and Trauma Centre.
The hospital will cater for thousands of spinal injury victims a year. 

In attendance will be: Deputy President William Ruto, Health Cabinet Secretary James Macharia; philanthropist Dr. Manu Chandaria, former VP Moody Awori who is the Chairman, Association for the Physically Disabled of Kenya; Mr. Peter Arina – Chairman, Board of Trustees, KPO and Safaricom’s General Manager for the Consumer Business Unit

Bring Zack Back Home campaign ran in July and August last year. Slightly over 73 million was raised from donations by corporates and Kenyans through an SMS platform. 
Zachary Kimotho, a shooting survivor, was the face of the campaign.
