First daughter Ngina Kenyatta over the weekend took part in an exercise to fight jiggers, organized by Ahad Kenya in Mathioya.
Ngina expressed her shock that jigger infestation was as bad as she saw it. ” I find it quite sad that it exists today,” she said.

She pledged to continue supporting Ahadi Kenya in their fight. This comes barely two weeks after her mother, the first lady, pledged her support for the same.
Ahadi Kenya CEO Stanley Kamau, in reaction to Murang’a deputy governor’s remarks that it will be a crime to be seen with jiggers in the county, said that those are the remarks of an ignorant person, as jiggers are brought about by poverty.
