Around, 2 months ago, Nairobi wire was launched. It was intended to be a blog breaking down national and global news in a manner depicting ease in understanding. Stories that have appeared on Nairobi wire for the last 2 months are carefully selected for the Nairobi and Kenyan market. Unlike other blogs, filler stories or what you may call junk is taboo on Nairobi wire. This has been the reason why many readers keep coming back.
At least once per day, a new story is available, ranging from the different topics such as : sports, music and entertainment, politics etc. This consistency has enabled Nairobi wire outgrow itself. On Friday 3rd of February, Nairobi Wire, got its 100,000th hit. This is a milestone that takes many blogs years to accomplish. Thanks to you, we reached that number in less than 2 months. The uniqueness of Nairobi Wire’s range of stories is the main selling point. Among the earliest people to acknowledge this new style of reporting was Martha Karua, who has continued to ‘like’ and ‘tweet’ on Nairobi wire’s stories.

On the Zuqka magazine pullout inside the Daily Nation of Friday, (3rd Feb. 2012), Nairobi Wire was featured on ‘blog’ section and has been given a very positive review. The author of the review writes,

Well, you can catch up with radio news bulletins,
cellphone, and twitter updates or “moshene”
on Facebook, or log on to Nairobi Wire
for topics ranging from news, business, entertainment,
sports, politics, and humour.
